The Book of Mormon

When Joseph Smith received the golden plates, from which he translated the Book of Mormon, he was instructed to show them to no one. Later he was given specific people to show them to who could stand as witnesses next to him. There were a total of eleven other witnesses. Though some of these men later left The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, because they disagreed with some aspect of mormon doctrine, not one of them ever denied his testimony of the authenticity of the golden plates and of the Book of Mormon. Though they may have disagreed with some of Joseph revelations, they could not deny the physical proof they had been shown that the plates were real.
