    A Very Generous Friend

    Our exmormon friend was so grateful for everything we did for him while he lived here, he said if he ever won the lottery, he would give us at least $50,000. Wow, I was really touched by that. As I started discussing taxes, tithing, etc., he said, “I’m not going to give it to you if you go all religious on me with it! Just use it for a down payment on a house!” I really would love it if our exmormon friend won the lottery, but I would definitely claim the gift on our taxes and pay tithing on it.
