Silkn is a laser-type, hair removal system that is specifically designed for people with dark-pigmented hair and skin that has little or no pigments. The system is not recommended for those with lighter hair colors including grey, blonde or white. This is because these hair colors do not contain the necessary pigments the system needs to detect for removing hair. Additionally, the system should not be used by persons with dark-pigmented skin. As with hair, the product can easily heat dark-pigmented skin and cause burns. It is also advised that consumers do not use this system to remove facial hair. In these circumstances, persons should seek professional services.
